Value Management
Value Management is a structured, facilitated process in which teams work together to produce outcomes in programmes, projects, systems, services or products which demonstrate good value.
Chalfont and Palmer’s trained facilitators assist groups of project stakeholders to better understand situations, manage risks, solve complex problems and make decisions.
Value management studies utilise a structured workshop facilitation process that incorporates participants’ perceptions of value into the problem solving process. A skilled facilitator works with participants to define the situation and identify objectives, generate ideas for alternative options, evaluate selected ideas and generate action.
The workshop attendees generally provide the technical input and expertise necessary to solve the problem(s), whilst the facilitators provide the necessary process and team environment.
Value management studies and facilitated workshops can be used to review projects at critical milestones, identify areas for cost savings or develop strategies, particularly when projects are faced with challenges. They may also incorporate risk management exercises. |
